NCHS researchers published an article in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report in August on the disparities in excess mortality associated with COVID-19. This report highlighted new preliminary data on excess mortality incidence rates among racial and ethnic minority groups in the United States from December 2019 to January 2021.


This graph shows quarterly excess all-cause mortality incidence rates and annual excess incidence rates for persons aged 65 years and over.
