CVFS WEBINAR SERIES: Intergenerational Associations of Maternal Depression with First Birth Timing

May 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

A 2021-2022 Chitwan Valley Family Study Webinar Series event.

Emma Banchoff, PhD Student – Sociology, University of Michigan. Drawing on multiple CVFS datasets, this research presentation explores the intergenerational link between mental disorders and family formation, with a focus on mothers’ depression and daughters’ fertility behavior. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.

The webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required to attend the webinar.

The CVFS Webinar Series is a free research education program. The series uses the CVFS as an example to teach participants about the field of international population research in low-income and lower-middle-income international settings. Learn how to conduct research to 1) determine population dynamics across different populations; 2) predict the future of global population trends; and 3) test hypotheses across widely varying context and determine the limits on forces producing population change. Support provided by NICHD (R25 HD101358).
