Through Monday, August 29, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is accepting comments to help guide decisions about new measurement protocols to be included in the existing Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) Research collection in the PhenX Toolkit.
The Social Determinants of Health Research Collection was added to the Toolkit in 2020 and includes 19 protocols. The protocols are organized into Individual and Structural specialty collections. The overarching goal of the collection is to “establish a common currency of measurement protocols that will help inform effective interventions to reduce health disparities.”
The call for comments is set up so that investigators may comment on each instrument being proposed and may also propose alternatives. Comments may be submitted via the following link:

PAA and APC will not be submitting organizational comments. Instead, the organizations want to encourage individual members to submit comments reflecting their expertise and interests.
