Sign up for Social Science Advocacy Day!

Registration for COSSA’s 2022 Social Science Advocacy Day is now open! Join us on March 29, 2022 to be part of the only annual, coordinated advocacy day in support of all of the social and behavioral sciences. Social Science Advocacy Day brings together social scientists and other science advocates from across the country to engage with policymakers. For the third year in a row, COSSA’s Advocacy Day will be conducted virtually, giving participants the ability to safely and conveniently engage with their elected officials from home.

Training webinars begin the week of March 15 – so you need to sign up now! Be an advocate for social science!

COSSA makes it easy to connect with your Congressional representatives from home.

You’ll be teamed up with other social scientists from your state to participate in a day of virtual meetings with House and Senate offices to share with them why federal support for social and behavioral science research is so important. We’ll provide you with multiple live and on-demand training opportunities and logistical support (including scheduling meetings with Congressional offices and providing an on-call expert to answer your day-of policy questions), as well as polished, up-to-date materials to help you communicate your message to policymakers. Each team will also have the option of partnering with an experienced government relations professional who can guide you through your meetings with members of Congress and their staff.
